Axial Fan
This sample illustrates how a fully-parametric axial fan can be modeled using the Axial Turbomachine Workflow.

Check out the parameter controls in the scope 00_parameters.
In contrast to the generic blade and the stream section, only a simple and slim implementation of a cylinder transformation is utilized for blade design. Tailor-made blade designs are possible in case no special streams are considered (which is then in the focus of the stream section, e.g. non-parallel streams with more complex meridional contours). Such a transformation can also be used for generation of supporting geometry e.g. for the meshing process.
The surfaces are put into BReps, in order to make use of trimming operations, Boolean operations and fillets between hub and blade.
Switch on the scope 04_fan (i.e. make it visible by clicking on the scope icon) in order to visualize the final fan. The parameter N controls the number of blades.
