Generic Ship

MaritimeThis functionality requires the Maritime add-on to be enabled. 5.3.0This functionality requires CAESES version 5.3.0 or later.

The Generic approach serves as a wrapper for ship geometry you already have, either from an import or a previous project. You simply need to provide the geometry as a Ship Input, as shown in the GUI of the Generic Ship Object.

Hull Parameters

After providing the ship geometry, you can click the plus button next to Hull Parameters. The following parameters will then be calculated automatically from the provided geometry:

• Length Overall (LOA)
• Beam
• Depth

Additionally, you can set a custom Design Draft.
